Cooking the Deals of July 10-16

I guess I really like chicken, as 4 out of 5 recipes are with chicken this week again! Plus a recipe for a yummy dessert that has been handed down through several generations in my family.
I find it easier to plan ahead, than try to play catch-up. My suggestion would be that you can do your grocery shopping for the next week. But of course, if you see something you just have to try then why wait until next week? Cook it up tonight for dinner!

Keep in mind, that I do assume that you will have some of the staples stock-piled and on hand to make your meal cheaper. When you're starting off you may not have some of these things stock-piled, but as you go you will!

A "*" denotes items I have on hand that I have gotten for free.

Rainbow Shoppers (that's me!)... check out the list of deals this week at Rainbow.
And for those without a near-by Rainbow... check out the list of deals at Cub.

Something to keep in mind... Much of the produce I have listed could be found cheaper at Aldi Foods (or even cheaper if you have it growing in your garden!)

Perdue Fresh Chicken Thighs $1.99/lb @ Rainbow
Green Giant Boil in Bag Veggies $1.25 @ Rainbow (I usually pay under $0.50, but if you need it)

Perdue Fresh Chicken Thighs $1.99/lb @ Rainbow
Raspberries or Blackberries $1.00 @ Rainbow (sign up for Driscoll's email, and get a $0.50 off coupon, if your store carries this brand)

Roundy's Mayo $1.88 @ Rainbow
Ronzoni Garden Delight Pasta Free @ Cub or Rainbow ($1 off 1 coupon in the 5-15 SS) (must buy 5 of selected items at Rainbow)

Meal #5: Sloppy Joe's
La Choy Soy Sauce $1.00 @ Rainbow (I just bought Kikkoman's last week, because I needed it and paid more than this... grr! I think I'll pick up 1 or 2 this week, as I don't usually see it on sale.)
Hunt's Ketchup $0.88 @ Cub
Gulden's Mustard $0.88 @ Cub
Jennie-O Ground Turkey $3.50 @ Rainbow (this is more than I usually pay per pound for ground turkey or beef)

Dessert: Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

** The ingredients may sound weird, but "don't knock it 'til you've tried it!" ** :)
Roundy's Mayo $1.88 @ Rainbow
C&H Sugar $2.49 @ Cub ($0.50 off in the 6-26 RP)
Cub Coffee $8.79 @ Cub (We're not coffee drinkers, so I couldn't tell you if this is a good price or not. I just borrow it from my mother when I need it.)
