Pork Chops & Wild Rice (Minnesota Style!)

With the weather we've had, who knows if we'll be able to grill outside for the 4th. This recipe sounded like a good one to use if it does rain! Plus, it's great in the crock pot, so you can spend more time with your friends & family, and less time in the kitchen. :)

6 pork chops
1 c. uncooked wild rice
1 1/2 c. water
1 can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)
1 tbsp chicken bouillon granules
oil
salt & pepper

In a skillet brown the pork chops in a small amount of oil, and season with salt & pepper. Either line the crock pot with a crock pot liner (we've gotten these for free or $0.19 at Rainbow), or spray with cooking spray. Spread rice in the bottom of the crock pot, add water and chicken bullion (and mushrooms, if desired). Place pork chops on top and spread soup over to cover. Cook on high for 4-6 hour, until pork chops are done.
