My uncles are the first ones who made this for me when I was out in Oregon a few years ago visiting my grandparents. It was so delicious! If I remember correctly, they made it on their Traeger grill (a smoker-style grill), but I've had it made on a propane grill, and it's just as good!
1 whole pineapple
cinnamon & sugar
Cut the top off the pineapple, and slice it into quarters length-wise, leaving the outer skin on. Sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar. Place each quarter, fruit side up on the grill. Grill until the outside is slightly browned. For the last 10 minutes, grill 5 minutes on each side, fruit side down. Remove from grill. Slice into pieces and serve.
